Marketing Assistant & Office Administrator

The Marketing Assistant & Office Administrator position will encompass all ticket agent responsibilities, as well as work directly under the sales and marketing department to create marketing campaigns and grow social media presence on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat, Tumblr, etc. Additional responsibilities include daily office work including (but not limited to) answering phones, taking reservations, placing orders for the office, filing employee paperwork, data entry, updating the website, assisting with event set up and assisting executives with tasks. Ticket Agents are responsible for phone reservations, in-person check out, sales at the ticket booth, U-Drive Boat Rental paperwork & forms and daily cash drawers.

This position is perfect for college students/recent college graduates looking to get into the marketing field. Candidates must have experience using computers, ability to deliver excellent customer service to clients, preferably experience with social media outlets, MailChimp and Microsoft Office including Word and Excel. Previous office experience is a must. 

Flexibility with schedule is needed, regular schedule is Thursday-Monday 9am-5pm, from Early May to Mid-October. Schedule may vary slightly in the beginning and end of season and during the summer depending on events schedule.
Days off are Tuesday & Wednesday, may request up to 5 unpaid days off during the summer with 15 days’ notice. *Dependent on scheduling availability, all requests may not be approved.

Ticket Agent

Shoreline Cruises is now hiring ticket agents for the 2017 season.

Our ticket agents work right on the waterfront in Lake George, NY. This is a seasonal position with full time and part time work, and with the potential to return each summer. We are open May-October. Ticket agents are responsible for phone reservations, in-person check out, sales at the ticket booth and daily cash drawers. Excellent customer service and people skills are a must. Training for the position starts at minimum and a review is given after a month of work.

Deck Hand & Horicon Crew

Our deck hands and crew work right on the water in beautiful Lake George, NY. Crew must be qualified customer service associates whom enjoy working directly with customers. Crew is responsible for running drink and snack bar on board and providing top notch, friendly service to cruise guests, while also handling money. Staff that excel in this position may possibly be scheduled to work banquet events that earn 19% gratuity on top of tips. This position will also help with all deck hand duties (cleaning, tying the lines, checking in guests, ect.) as well as possibly narrating the sights from our script as we cruise by. Must be friendly, outgoing and comfortable with public speaking.

Adirondac Crew & Wait Staff

Our boat crew works right on the water in beautiful Lake George, NY. Crew must be qualified customer service associates whom enjoy working directly with customers. During the summer and for private events the Adirondac has several cruises that operate as a high-volume restaurant & bar. Servers must have experience working at a full-service restaurant. Crew is also responsible for running the lunch, drink and snack bar on board during regular cruises, and providing top notch, friendly service to cruise guests. Staff that excel in this position may possibly be scheduled to work banquet events on the Adirondac that earn 19% gratuity on top of tips. This position will also help with all deck hand duties (cleaning, tying the lines, checking in guests, etc.,), while also handling money on board. General Restaurant Manager

Shoreline Restaurant’s General Manager position perfect for those with restaurant and business management experience looking to grow in a seasonal, yet very high volume restaurant. Responsible for making sure all aspects of the restaurant are running smoothly, including but not limited to: creating the front of the house schedule, working with the lead hostess to ensure all customer interactions/issues are resolved in a timely and professional manner, answering incoming phone calls and taking reservations, seating guests, waiting on tables when necessary, working with the back of the house leader to ensure the kitchen is running smoothly, ensuring orders are going out to guests correctly, making sure kitchen inventory is up to date and staying on top of ordering, working with Jim on the back of the house schedule, etc. Must also coordinate with Sales Manager for all banquet events scheduled at the restaurant and oversee and supervise proper execution on events at the restaurant.

Hours are Wednesday-Sunday from 4pm-close and open availability during the summer season is a must. A minimum of three years restaurant experience and 1 year of management experience is strongly preferred. Training for the position starts at minimum and a review is given after a month of work.

Back of House/Kitchen Manager

Shoreline Restaurant’s Culinary Leader is responsible for working with the General Manager to ensure the Back of House/kitchen is running smoothly, working the line when necessary, prepping & cooking food for special event banquets, ensuring orders are going out to restaurant guests correctly and making sure kitchen inventory is up to date and staying on top of ordering. Perfect for those in looking to grow their culinary skills and management experience in a seasonal, yet very high volume restaurant.

Responsibilities:
- Follow company and state safety & sanitary requirements
- Oversee kitchen staff-organize kitchen staff schedule-ability to train and get along with coworkers
- Maintain integrity of the product-responsible for daily product rotation
- Expedite all a la carte orders with kitchen staff-oversee and expedite daily food prep

Requirements:
-Must have previous experience in a kitchen management position
-Must have a positive attitude and work well with others
-Must be available May-October for full time work including weekends

*This is a high volume kitchen so experience with similar settings is a plus.

Hours vary and open availability during the summer season is a must. Weekend and night work required according to banquet events. Previous kitchen/cooking experience is a must. Position is seasonal, from Mid-May to Mid-October.
